Lipno nad Vltavou

In the second half of the 20th century, Lipno nad Vltavou gradually transformed into a recreation center, which then became the largest on the Lipno Dam. This location is an excellent starting point for cultural trips like the châteaut Český Krumlov or the monastery in Vyšší Brod. Families can head out along the numerous educational nature trails in the nearest area.

 
What can you visit in Lipno nad Vltavou? Undoubtedly the most sought-after and most popular is the Treetop Trail, which every holidaymaker visit. Vyšší Brod

The southernmost city of the Czech Republic, located in the easternmost part of the Šumava Mountains, with very attractive places to visit or experience. In the 13th century, Vok I from Rožmberk founded the Cistercian Vyšebrodský monastery here together with the monks, which you can visit and admire, for example, the third most valuable monument - the Záviš cross. Thanks to the end of the Lipno dam, there is an almost constantly navigable section of the Vltava from Vyšší Brod. Who wouldn't want to have a rafting experience? Following the yellow tourist sign, you can get from the city to the southernmost point of the Czech Republic, Opatská stezka. You will certainly be interested in the cascades and waterfalls of St. Wolfgang on the river Menší Vltavice and from there it is only a short distance to the Maria Rast am Stein pilgrimage site and the Stations of the Cross, which will bring you back to the city center. The Abbot's trail II (blue) will take you to the most famous stone sea under the Devil's Wall. It is not for nothing that Vyšší Brod is said to be a treasure trove of cultural and natural beauties.
